Look in the mirror, tell me what do you see…
In the reflection: is it you, or is it me?
At times I get confused about whose burden I’m carrying
But sadly, not in whose backyards I keep on burying
This weight and these feelings that are hard to slough off
Have to watch who you share with, or prepare to be scoffed
See when you’ve lived for so long outside of your reality
Other topics become enticing, like spirituality and mortality
But be careful where you’re swept, to help you forget
Don’t tune your mind solely to a channel that’s pre-set
Use your wit, your instincts, your knowledge, and guides
Don’t get stuck in the confusion that swirls in your mind(s)
Stay in your body and learn how to breath
Pray like you mean it, on your goddamn knees
This life isn’t over, there’s so much more to do
Focus on the ones who are there and part of your crew
Not the ones who ever made you feel … at all … like there’s something wrong with you
